THIS INDENTURE, made the twenty sixth day of September

One thousand Nine hundred and Eleven BETWEEN Our Sovereign

Lord GEORGE V by the Grace of GOD King of the United

Kingdom of GREAT BRITAIN and IRELAND and of the BRITISH

Dominions beyond the Seas, Defender of the Faith, Emperor

of INDIA, of the one part, and The Most Honourable and

Right Reverend Randall Thomas by Divine Providence Arch-

bishop of Canterbury Primate of all England (hereinafter

referred to "the said Lessee") of the other part. WHEREAS

Sir Frederick John Dealtry Lugard Knight Grand Cross of

the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint

George Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath

Companion of the Distinguished Service Order is now the

duly constituted and appointed Governor and Commander-in-

Chief of the said Colony of Hongkong and its Dependencies;

and is authorized to enter into these presents in the name

and on behalf of His said Majesty NOW THIS INDENTURE WIT-

NESSETH, that in consideration of the yearly rent, covenants

and stipulations hereinafter reserved and contained, by

and on the part and behalf of the said Lessee his Successors

Executors, Administrators and Assigns, to be paid, done

and performed; His said Majesty KING GEORGE DOTH hereby

grant and demise, unto the said Lessee his Successors

and Assigns, ALL that piece or parcel of Ground situate,

lying and being at Victoria in the Colony of Hong Kong

abutting on or towards the North side thereof on Albert

Road (on a curve) and measuring thereon two hundred and

five feet on or towards the South sides thereof on a public

pathway Crown Land and Upper Albert Road and measuring

thereon respectively twelve feet and three inches, fifty

feet, forty three feet and six inches and two hundred and

sixty one feet on or towards the East side thereof on the
